Meet the Team – Janine Docherty – Community Fibre Lead @ FACTCO
Meet Janine, the latest member in the FACTCO team working to connect rural communities to FACTCO full-fibre broadband networks.
Janine’s role came about from the work FACTCO have started in County Durham. Janine has lived in was born and is living in County Durham most of her life and has been appointed to help support those communities across County Durham who need our support the most.
It’s important as we’re based outside the area that we can support our customers the best we can, having someone like Janine to help is the best way to help understand the communities we seek to support and understand their needs.
So, we thought we’d introduce Janine, and share with you a little about her…
What are you most excited about in your new role?
I’ve been working with broadband for over 10 years, when I met FACTCO they had lots of exciting plans for the communities in County Durham and needed that local touch. They’ve been working hard to take on the most challenging projects installs in the area, my role as Community Fibre Lead is to help connect those communities in the best possible way.
What do you think will be the biggest challenge?
Apart from the obvious current climate that we’re having to work in. It’s a big challenge to help educate communities why FACTCO are here to help and how they can offer support to them. What FACTCO offer is a great solution – funding, support and competitively priced broadband for homes and businesses. It’s often the case that the communities think it sounds too good to be true. That’s where I come in! I know that the people of County Durham will support us in overcoming the challenges we currently face. The current situation creates added challenges, but we are raising awareness of the FACTCO difference and how we can help.
