FACTCO bridges the gap in digital inclusion, helping rural communities keep up with the advancements of modern living. These projects are the first steps in building a sustainable network and are essential for the long-term development of the area.

Below we explain the difference a full fibre network can bring to a community.

Moving away from traditional copper networks

On September 19th, 2019, Openreach held talks with the Government setting out plans to switch off the old copper lines by 2025, replacing them with “full fibre”  (FTTP) broadband.

This is where FACTCO come in. We are ahead of the game, offering a full fibre network now to help you get connected for the long term.

  • A connection using both fibre and copper (FTTC) can reach speeds of up to about 66Mbps.
  • But a full fibre connection (FTTP) with no copper wiring, can offer much faster average speeds of one gigabit per second (GBPS). That’s 1000 Mbps!
