It was our pleasure to take part in Bedlington Parish Council’s Cambois Fair and Sandcastle Competition last weekend! Despite the windy weather, we were joined on Cambois’ beautiful beachfront by several hundred Camboisers.

Regional Sales Manager, Gary Spooner, spent the day chatting to locals about the full fibre network upgrade, and what improvements it’s made for those connected.

JUDGING THE SANDCASTLE COMPETITION
Gary was granted the difficult task of picking a winner of the sandcastle competition, the event of the day sponsored by FACTCO.
“Judging was tough on the day as all the entries put in great effort and made judging difficult, however we were very grateful to be the ones chosen to judge the event. In the end, the prize for first place went to a Mr. Justin Smith! The Smiths smashed it building a state-of-the-art sand ship, the ship had amazing detail including its own swimming pool and docking headquarters! Unbelievable effort and really did stand out,” Gary said.
Congratulations also to our second and third prize winners, The Charltons and the Matthews respectively.
“Their masterpiece included spiral levels to the castle walls and a separate living dome that then lead to a third castle. Great effort from the Charltons! The Matthews were also worthy winners. Their entry included an underground castle with a carefully laid out track and grounds,” he said.
